its xp with zune, not vista i had vista but it was consuming more ram than iam comfortable with so iam back to xp for now heh

You know that you can use usb-pens as RAM, in Vista, right...? - Think about it, 4 gb pen = 4 gb Ram... The one reason you as to why you want Vista... But dont ask me how, its only computer experienced people i know who can do it, also seeing as i don't have Vista myself...

usb 2 is not even close to the kinda bandwidth offered by even the cheapest RAM.. i think usb 2.0 gives 50-60 MBps compared to 4000+ MB/s offered by ddr2

i am not brave enuf to attempt even booting vista with that setup hehe

AS a harware pc build and repair student i knwo a pretty decent amount sadly i'm cursed with a few learnng disabilities but yes from my knowledge(didn't know about the pen trick) but i would rather build something iwth more stable ram and more solid memory honestly and vista isn't really still safe in my point of view i would use XP till maybe after a whole yr or 2 of it being out there witch i'm glad i stuck with XP still b/c i look at alot of my fav progs and it almost would crash my pc just running a few small prog b/c vista takes to much the true goal of programing(i studied that too) is to create a program thats effeict and doesn't EAT AWAY every thing unlike vista honestly i think its a scam to get people to start buying more parts lol

yes, there is actually no real reason why someone should upgrade to vista from xp except for the cosmetic changes. the same was not the case when upgrading to xp from winME or 98. but in the end M$ will have their way and everyone will upgrade, whether they like it or not. *signs*
